A look at the Intrinsic Hands treatment environment and the work behind it — the modalities we use, the way we set up sessions, and what your visit will actually look like.
Behind the Treatments
Most of the photos below show cupping therapy in progress — one of our most-requested techniques and a useful way to understand how a session actually works. Here's what each image is showing you and why it matters.
The cups create gentle suction that lifts tissue, increases blood flow, and helps break up adhesions in stubborn areas like the upper back, shoulders, hips, and IT band. They stay on for 5–15 minutes depending on what we're working on.
Cup placement isn't random. We map them to specific muscle groups and meridian-style zones based on what came up in your intake — chronic tightness, recent overuse, areas where range of motion is limited.
Light circular marks where the cups sat are normal and not bruises. They're a sign the tissue was congested and is now mobilizing. Marks fade within 3–7 days. They are not painful.
A few photos show red light therapy paired with cupping or massage. Targeted wavelengths help with circulation, recovery, and tissue repair. We use it as an add-on for clients dealing with chronic inflammation or slow healing.
Quiet, warm, and built for actual bodywork — not a generic spa setup. Heated table, dimmable lighting, and the equipment we actually use (cups, hot stones, Thai mat, percussion tools) within reach so the session never breaks rhythm.
